Northamptonshire artist Mick Henson is an
accomplished sculptor who began his career in the Wellingborough area of
Northants as a welder fabricator and general engineer. It was only natural
that his early work used steel and fibreglass. He started his career as a
artist in 1991 when he started to produce ornate work for his employer and
local artists which sparked of his love for the arts. He later studied
ceramics. He has now moved from his studio at home to the community of
artists at Barton Hall Studios. His interest lies in the human form and his
sculptures reflect this.
Mick Henson's steel and fibreglass sculptures can be found outside public
buildings, gardens and galleries in the Northampton and surrounding area. |
