Barton Hall
Studios will be taking part at the weekends during the annual
Open Studios event running from
Saturday 30th August - Sunday 14th September. open from 11am to 5pm.
Artists' studios will be open
and there will be an opportunity to not only see their work, but also to
find out what motivates and inspires them. There will also be
displays throughout the main building by our Associate Members.
Some artists
will be offering workshops and activities during the week.

Simon Loach's photographs will be on display in Kettering Library

'The Art of Books'
18th October - 30th November 2008
As part of the Durham Book Festival, Kelly Gardner will be taking part in an exhibition at the Oriental
Museum with Yvette Hawkins and Stephen Livingstone. The Art of Books brings together three British artists working
with books as a raw material in creating contemporary sculptural, tactile
artwork. Using the traditional bound book as a starting point, all three
artists manipulate, rethink and rework them into something new and
visually exciting.'
