Statement |
|
Drawing
is quintessential to my work. The human figure has fascinated me for many
years now and remains an integral part of my work, as I consider the
relationship between me and my immediate personal environment. Investigating
the tension in the contours and energies that constrain the body, I work
deliberately and quickly, responding using colour and mark making to explore
the emotional and sensual bond with the subjects. It is essential that the
marks are pure and unadulterated, allowed to remain uncorrupted by
correction or doubt, retaining the essence of the movement. |
